Because We’re Not Monsters

Frequently Asked Questions

No fine print traps, no bloated 200MB apps, and no hostage-taking. Here is how our hardware, pricing, and kiosks actually work in the wild.

The "Can I Game The System?" Questions

Can I just check it out for the free minutes, return it, and grab another one forever?

Nice try, George Clooney in Ocean’s Eleven. Our system limits free boosts to one per payment method per day. If you need power for longer than an emergency text to your getaway driver, our hourly rate is cheaper than half a draft beer.

Do I really not have to download an app? What’s the catch?

No catch. We’re not Neo jacking into the Matrix—you don’t need a 200MB download, a password you forgot back in 2019, or a marketing newsletter tracking your soul. You just point your camera, tap Apple Pay or Google Pay, and the pack pops out in 5 seconds flat.

Pricing & Billing

How much does this actually cost if I stay a while?

It’s $3.00 per hour, capped at $15.00 max for a full 24-hour day. Unlike the shady mob bosses in Goodfellas, we don't do surprise surge pricing on Friday nights, convenience penalties, or mystery line-item charges.

What happens if I forget to return the battery pack?

Other kiosk chains treat this like a hostage situation straight out of Taken and hit your card for $60+. Because we're not monsters, we charge a flat $25 retail fee and the battery is officially yours. It has a USB-C port on the side so you can charge it at home and keep it forever.

Hardware & Cables

Will it charge my specific phone?

Unless you’re rocking an encrypted 1980s CIA satellite suitcase from Mission: Impossible or a Zack Morris brick phone, absolutely. Every pack has built-in Apple Lightning and high-speed USB-C cables, fitting virtually every smartphone built in the last 15 years.

How fast do these power banks actually charge?

You don’t need 1.21 gigawatts like Doc Brown’s DeLorean in Back to the Future to revive a dead phone. It delivers steady, high-efficiency power directly to your pocket so you’re back in the safe zone before your first drink is even poured.

How many full phone charges does one power bank hold?

Enough to yell "IT'S ALIVE!" like Dr. Frankenstein. With a high-density 5,000–6,000 mAh cell, it delivers a full 0% to 100% resurrection for modern iPhones or Androids, plus enough reserve juice to keep your friend's battery afloat.

Can I return the battery to a different venue?

Yes! You can pull a Ferris Bueller’s Day Off around town: grab a pack at a bar in Spring, head down the road to dinner in The Woodlands, and click it into any open dock slot at any V-ChargeNow station to end your rental.

Safety, Standards & Durability

Are these chargers Apple-certified and safe for my smartphone?

Yes. Unlike Tony Stark improvising in a cave in Iron Man, our hardware uses official Apple MFi-certified chips and multi-layer circuit protection against overheating, overcharging, and sketchy error popups.

What regulatory and safety standards do your kiosks meet?

We take hardware seriously. Our stations are fully compliant with FCC Part 15B (so zero interference with venue Wi-Fi or POS terminals), CE, RoHS, and UN38.3 battery transport safety certifications.

Are the countertop kiosks safe from drink spills?

They’re built with IP54 spill and dust resistance. Even if your Friday night turns into the bar brawl from Road House, accidental drink splashes won't take down the kiosk.

Venue Partner Questions

How much does it cost my bar or restaurant to host a kiosk?

Zero dollars. As Jerry Maguire would say, "Show me the money!"—we provide the hardware, cover maintenance, handle insurance, and send you monthly revenue payouts. You just give us 1.5 feet of counter space and an outlet.

Does my staff have to babysit the machine?

Zero babysitting required—no need for your staff to patrol on a Segway like Paul Blart: Mall Cop. The kiosks are completely self-service, keeping your team focused on pouring drinks instead of tracking random charging cords.

Can venue hosts display their own drink specials on the kiosk screen?

Absolutely. You get your own Blade Runner billboard right on the bar counter. We provide free ad slots on models with HD displays so you can showcase happy hours, live music, or weekly drink specials to guests all night.
